Martin Brundle

Exclusively represented by John Miles Organisation

Born on 1 June 1959 in King's Lynn, Martin Brundle started his racing career at 12, driving a self-built Ford Anglia grass track car. He gained 12 O-levels and a distinction in Business Studies before his first circuit race at Oulton Park in 1977.

Racing Career

Martin partnered Sir Stirling Moss in the BP/Audi team in 1981. In Formula 3 in 1982 he took on Ayrton Senna — Senna taking the Championship only in the final laps of the final race. Both were elevated to Formula One, Martin spending three seasons (1984–1986) with the Tyrrell team.

His Jaguar era brought a winning debut at Daytona 24 hours in January 1988, followed by the World Championship in October. In 1990 he won the Le Mans 24 hours. His most successful F1 season came in 1992 alongside Michael Schumacher at Benetton Ford, scoring points in 11 of the final 12 races and finishing 6th in the World Championship.

Broadcasting Career

From 1997, Martin moved alongside Murray Walker for F1 ITV coverage, with commentary beamed worldwide. He won four Royal Television Society Awards for his commentary and was on stage at the 2008 BAFTAs receiving the award for Best Sports Programme.

After twelve seasons with ITV, Martin moved to the BBC in 2009, then to Sky Sports F1 in 2012, where his legendary gridwalks have become unmissable viewing.

Martin Brundle is exclusively represented by the John Miles Organisation.
