Steve Le Fevre
Award-winning broadcaster across TV and radio with a career spanning four decades
Steve has presented shows right across the networks, from a daily quiz show on ITV1 to the late-night phone-in on BBC 5 Live. He grew up on the beautiful Antrim coast of Northern Ireland and graduated with a degree in English from the University of Ulster.
He spent an illuminating year as a tutor at a Youth and Community workshop in Derry during the height of the Troubles before arriving at Broadcasting House in Belfast — BBC NI TV and radio news reading, his own Radio Ulster chat shows, and two years in the sports department.
Career Highlights
Moving to Radio Leeds, Steve co-hosted Midmorning and within 18 months won a Sony Gold Presenter Award and a BT Media Award. He then presented the weekly Media Show and Late Night Live on BBC 5 Live.
At YTV he spent six years presenting the weekend Tonight Show, Calendar News and documentary programmes. He hosted 96 live daily interactive quiz shows — The Biggest Game in Town on ITV1 Daytime — and the big live give-away show Watch to Win which followed GMTV.
Steve moved to Bristol in 2009 to present Steve Le Fevre at Breakfast on BBC Radio Bristol, and became a familiar face with Sunday Politics West and Points West. In 2018 he won an RTS West of England Outstanding Screen Talent Award for his talk show on Made Television.
Steve and his Radio 4 producer wife Caroline run a highly regarded media training company working with some of the country's biggest companies and banks.
